But he’d worked himself up so much that he couldn’t stop crying, and I became so upset and flustered seeing him upset. I tried everything, changing his nappy, giving him my boob, giving him a pacifier, rocking him, laying him on his side, shhhh him, and nothing seemed to be working. In the end, I just cradled him in my arms all teary eyed, closed my eyes and went back to my yoga breathwork, the Ujayi breath which is what I did through my whole 44 hours of labour to calm my mind and body. After a couple of minutes, he stopped crying. It’s like he knew or remembered what it was.
