Running wild and free was a regular thing from three to teens. The beaches were white and soft and the palm trees swayed with the wind. The wind would blow with the same rhythm as the waves. If you listened carefully you could hear the melody of paradise. But now you have to be careful when you walk the path of my life. People have come and taken and gone and left nothing. They silenced the wind and the tide is no longer noticed. The sand is still soft but not truly felt. If you look deep into the trees they will tell you stories older than a thousand years. The great Mayans lived here. But who comes here to listen? This land is awake. It’s not yours to take. People called this place PARADISE. Some came from far away places to experience the dream of freedom. Some with their greed created their own sort of hell. Those places where lost souls roam...sleeping beings. But some of us are awake...we see you...we cultivate the land before our time. The virgin sand, water, and sun. Where whoever you were, you were free and alive.
