So many of us hold ourselves back from the fullness of who we truly are.

We think people will reject us, that they will push us away.

We fear that in our full expression we are just not lovable, that there is actually something deeply wrong with who we are, and the people we love will eventually find out and leave.

So we collapse into fear, we become stagnant, we do not bring our full selves to the table.

In moments where the real you wants to jump forth the nervous system stalls, a block appears, and we minimize our energy.

We laugh less, cry only in private, and bring small portions of our truth - in this dynamic we lose connection, intimacy and depth in our relationships.

To know this pattern isn’t working - intellectually - is one thing, but to embody the alternative path is another.

Embodiment looks like diligently, and kindly, retraining our nervous systems.

We practice opening our hearts and our lives to those that treat us with compassion and support.

We must soften and surrender, take risks of intimacy, and move towards the fear that tells us to hide instead.

With time and consistency, safety and affirmation, our psyche and body will rewire from fear back into love.

This is a process, and there are many tools to aid us on the way, but remember there is no ‘magic pill’ that will resolve years of ingrained beliefs and patterns overnight.

The fuel to continue is to access our willpower, the warrior within, who knows that amidst the suffering there is another way - who continues walking even when we fall.
