In a stark white landscape, a little bit of color goes a long way. #WhiteSands National Monument in #NewMexico -- the world’s largest gypsum dunefield -- averages fewer than 9 inches of rain a year, making #rainbows a rare treat. But no matter the sky, these dramatic dunes draw more than half a million visitors a year and the park is a favorite location for photographers and artists. It’s a great place to gather together with friends and strangers and enjoy the beauty and peace of our most wonderful public lands.
