We would stencil on our boards and put stickers up around town. While we just thought it was funny to put these around ‘cause we thought it was so stupid, other people were like, “What is it?” And some people would say, “Oh it’s cool. I think it’s a band.” And other people would say, “I hate that. That’s so dumb. What is it? Some dumb cult or something?” And then I realized, I just saw the power of taking an absurd image, something that’s funny, and just repeating it.
