パク ・スジュさんのインスタグラム写真 - (パク ・スジュInstagram)「It’s not easy being a woman at any given age. Through centuries, our social constructs have washed and carved us to be quick to criticize how we look and slow to appreciate the beauty of being individuals ourselves with all of our hearts and soul. And now with the phenomenon of social media, we (or at least I, for one) are left feeling inadequate constantly. I tap on “explore” page and I see young women, skin perfectly highlighted, lips full, eyes like cats, with tiny waist, not an ounce of “fat” and round hips, always looking polished or styled out, and I struggle not to compare myself to this curation of virtual perfection. I’m pretty confident to say that this is a universal ailment: we all feel like we’re not doing enough, not cool enough, not beautiful enough, not successful enough...ugh. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. While this FOMO syndrome might have become the new cultural norm, I hope all of us will rise above the superficial expectations and stop obsessing over how we look to others, and what other people think. Let’s wake up and nurture the world and the people around us. With yet another busy/crazy Fashion Week whirlwind, I’m going to try my hardest to be especially positive and hope you will too. Speak with words of kindness, to others, to loved ones, to yourself. Love you all.」9月6日 10時08分 - soojoo
