And even then, through high school I worked at a children’s bookstore in nyc and devoured every YA galley I could get my hands on - I still reference Judy Blume, Flowers in the Attic, Weetzy Bat, and Adrian Mole regularly. Now one of my favorite friends is a famous YA author and I couldn’t be more excited for her newest release. I was fortunate enough to read a very early draft of this, and I’m SO FUCKING THRILLED to have the final product in my hands. It’s set in NYC and has everything I wanted (but couldn’t find) in a YA book growing up: NYC boys. Celebrities. Bodegas. Asian people. A love story worth my hornyass teen mind jerking off to until the wee hours of the morning on a school night. Also I don’t know why this matters, but lots of swearing.
