There’s no vanity, just unconditional love. Having Sunday saved my life in so many ways, and I look at my body as the vessel that carried her in to this world and I thank my blessings every day. My body has changed and I now have new physical imperfections. I like my new boobs that droop a little, they fed Sunday. I like my stretch marks, they’re a road map reminding me of my beautiful pregnancy journey. And now, my prolapsed bladder. There is no shame in this. It is the biggest reminder of being lucky enough to have carried Sunday and delivered her naturally without complication. So many women suffer in silence. We should not be stigmatized in to feeling a shame for the effects of childbirth. I hope my story in @ok_mag this week helps other women feel proud of their bodies and get the help they need to mend.
