A lot of things in life are unexpected. Just like when we would get ice cream when Brinley was younger. She would just be living her life not knowing what was coming next and then to her surprise... a bowl of ice cream would be sitting right in front of her. Jairus and I would use the phrase “Our ice cream is just around the corner.” Constantly over the past couple years. It probably doesn’t make much sense but it really does to us. Our life together has had many, many “ice cream” moments. But It’s also had it’s tough, life changing ones too. We’ve grown up together, we’ve learned how to be parents together, and we’re still just figuring it all out. Day by day. Meeting Jairus still is and was my biggest ice cream moment. He came out of nowhere during a dark time in my life and turned the light back on so I could resolve my inner struggles. To quote my vows: “You saw something in me that I had yet to even see myself.” Thank you for all that you are, all that you’ve done for me, all that you’ve taught me, and all that you’ve given me. Another quote from my vows: “I can never thank you enough but I will try every single day for the rest of my life.” Happy Birthday to my best friend in the whole entire world.
