I am always super excited about an opportunity to dance but my immediate answer was: “Julian I’d love to dance with you but I’ve never done DonQ before, maybe we should do something else?” To which he responded: “But DonQ is lots of fun to perform and it’s very interesting for the audience! Besides, don’t you want to dance it? Come on!” And then I just realized - yes I maybe want to try this role and I should definitely be open up for a challenge and take it easy in a way. So we decided to go and dance, rehearsed a few times and I went on my vacation... ******************************************** After I was back in Saint-Petersburg after spending 19 days in Turkey I obviously was out of shape and good heavens did I hate my decision to go when I thought I was not going to get properly ready for the performances and had to make myself work trying to find a way to still prepare as best as I could! But here we are - after finishing the 2/2 show standing in the amazingly beautiful Liceu theatre, alive and not disappointed! 😱 I’m certainly cannot be satisfied by how I performed but I am beyond happy I did it, I began the work I’m so excited to continue!!! It was a blast and I have to thank Julian for it 😊 ******************************************** I realized for myself from now on there’s no such thing as waiting for a suitable moment - opportunities come to us whenever they want, not otherwise and usually they are unexpected! I think I don’t want to end up wasting the precious hours, days, years, decades waiting.
