Ronan spent the summer of 2010 running around in Washington State like the little wild man that he was. I snapped this picture and after I looked at it I thought, “Hmmm... his left eye looks funny.” Never in a million years did I think a week later I would hear the words, “Your child has cancer.” Other than his eye, there were no other symptoms. Our lives changed over night and I spent eight months watching my three year old endure things that will forever haunt me. September is Childhood Cancer Awareness month but for me and so many other families, it is every day. Please help us this September by donating to @ronanfoundation or @runwayheroes, my two passion projects in life. If you can’t donate, you can help in other ways. I am always moved by the things I see the younger generation doing in order to raise awareness such as taking on childhood cancer for school projects or volunteering in hospitals or for non-profits.
