Sunday 1st September began with the most beautiful surprise in Tsavo, when wild-living orphan Loijuk returned to our Ithumba stockades in the early hours to share with us her pride and joy - a newborn female calf whom we have named Lili. I’m so excited for the newest wild born baby at @sheldricktrust . The second pic is Loijuk and I in 2014. To see her so big now and with her own little baby makes my heart leap with joy. The satisfaction of having elephants who were orphaned as little babies,then successfully have their own babies in the wild, Raising them with lots of help from their friends they grew up with at Sheldrick.
