A few weeks ago, high up in the exalted forest of Hakone, Japan. Channeling Mifune, Kurosawa, Yasujiro Ozu and the great energies of warriors past, a reverence that has sharpened and invigorated my being. Where have you traveled that changed you forever ? #35mm #Film #Japan

I would say spending 5 months in SE Asia volunteering and traveling turned out to be a very transformative time for me. I was working as a design volunteer in Siem Reap and up till then had little to no experience spending that much time in a developing country. This week actually marks the 12th anniversary of the end of my time in Cambodia. That same summer I got to: Be completely overcome by emotion and feeling spiritual while riding scooters through the mountains in Laos, experience the overstimulation of Thailand, find my dream retirement beach off the coast of Vietnam, and discreetly talk to people about their thoughts and feelings in Burma/Myanmar, just a couple of weeks before the Saffron revolution. It was an unforgettable time and I experienced things both beautiful and traumatic.

Vancouver, British Columbia is the place that has transformed me the most. Traveling on the trains in and out of the city, I found myself in a way I couldn’t if I wanna were home in The Bahamas. Feeling like 1 person around 1 million people connected me more to God than I ever imagined. I was alone and yet I was found.

I would love show you around Fukuoka, Japan one day. It’s stunning and beautiful ! Ushuaia, Argentina changed me forever. The tranquility and the freshness of the air first thing right before the sun is about to rise. Something that’s hard to explain. It takes your breath away.

One of the best places i have ever been: Teotihuacán - Mexico City if you sit there under the sun pyramid and you close your eyes, you feel the spirit if this culture , the warriors it’s amazing and a bit spooky 😊

I enjoyed traveling to Vancouver. The place is so clean compare to SF Chinatown. I was traveling alone. I still had a blast walking from downtown to Chinatown. I went on a quick tour. Lovely place! 😍 Cheers, Gina

@ladykenpachi Take a good book. One you know you can garauntee to not put down. I'm terrified of heights. But anytime I've had to fly, Water for Elephants was my savior 🖤
