I’m so honored to participate in the upcoming 50th Anniversary Celebration of the @lalgbtcenter! Not only will we be raising funds for social services and housing of homeless LGBT youth, we’ll also be shining a light on the last FIFTY years of outreach this organization has supplied to LA. When I moved to this city around 40 years ago, the LGBT Center was already doing incredible things. I was lucky enough to perform multiple one-woman shows over the years as a way to help give attention to, at the time, a very marginalized group. In 2019, we’ve come a LONG way, but that doesn’t mean our work is done! There are still many LGBT kids without a home, living on the street, in need of our love and support. Please join me on Saturday, September 21st, where I’ll be participating in the Gold Anniversary Vanguard Celebration (a fancy VIP dinner where I’ll be sitting next to @repadamschiff …wanna sit at our table??) followed by the Hearts of Gold Concert at the @greek_theatre.
