Thank you for everything you do @nicolettemason If you would have told me 16 years ago when I started modelling you’ll be; rejected not a couple of times hundreds of times, to your face, behind your back or simply with silence. That you’ll be body shamed publicly and bullied online. Spend far too many years trying to fit into one side of the industry only to be told you’d never be slim enough but then find out you aren’t large enough to be a successful plus size model. Work with dodgy agencies, do hundreds of free shoots, even live in Turkey and get paid half what the model next to you was getting simply because you were curvier. And it wouldn’t be till you realised that failure is trying to be something you are not, and instead embracing that you are different and you are not meant to fit in. Using that as your power and not be afraid to be vocal about it. Crafting a mission to change the industry not myself and my body and use all of the frustration to break down barriers not hide behind them. It’s not true that “if you cannot see you cannot be” if it were how would anyone have the courage to do anything. If you don’t see yourself represented you are the representation. To my parents (I could go on all day) but you’re the best family I could dream of and @philipapayne for loving me unconditionally.
