This comical picture book is about everyone’s favorite fictional animal- a (🦄). A boy makes a wish in a fountain and naturally wishes for his own unicorn. At first, everything is great but soon he finds the darker side of unicorns. They scratch, burp (rainbows), shed (glitter), and they can’t be housetrained (don’t eat unicorn poop even if it looks like cupcakes!). If all that wasn’t bad enough, he soon finds the top-secret problem with having a unicorn and he realizes that having one might not be all it’s cracked up to be. This book is masterfully written by Ame Dyckman.
