It is time to act!
Prayers are appreciated but the situation of the Amazon needs far more than that, we all need to ACT NOW, This is an irreversible crime for the future. Here are some concrete actions:

1. Support the indigenous communities that are defending the territory and the NGOs that support them (we can donate, volunteer, expand their message) @socioambiental @gaiaamazonas @amazonwatch for example.

2. Let us denounce those responsible, multinational companies interested in deforestation such as @blackrock and #MONSANTO, do not consume their products, support farmers by buying them as directly as possible or with initiatives such as @mercadosagrosolidaria @jeroelgranjero @vidaorganicabogota @lacanastaorg @proyectodeveras @muchocol @escarolaorganicos @clorofilatutiendaecologica @bioplaza etc

3. Hold politicians responsible like @jairmessiasbolsonaro (FOR THIS CRIME) and demand our representatives to act.

4. TODAY! Take measures to reduce your impact on climate change, less meat, less cars, less travel (We all must travel every now and then but be responsible to reduce your carbon footprint and have it at zero) use less plastic and go PLANT TREES!🌱 5. Join the protests listed in the comments below or on my story. If non exist then create one, from wherever you are, as a society we must exert pressure, EDUCATE all the people who are on the street, the workers, the children, those who do not have social networks, tell them, explain the seriousness of the situation.

haldreylolli People need to understand what’s really going on in Brazil. Need to understand more about the indigenous, more about the NGOs and of course make politicians pay for their mistakes, specially the president if that’s the case. But this is something that’s been happening for years and its only being published because it’s convenient to the press as they see the opportunity to try and make the current president responsible for all this shit. annainoc Stop contributing to the animal agriculture industries. They are responsible for a huge percentage of deforestation. They clear the land to grow feed and to raise livestock. You can help by not being a consumer to meat. Please think about it. 🌱💚🌱

izabellamiko Also, Go vegan! This the only thing you can do RIGHT NOW to stop deforestation that’s caused by the need for more land to raise cows and grow food to feed them so people can have theirs beloved burgers all over the world!
