The Bolivian forest is burning too. The current government of Evo Morales passed a law legalizing he burning of fields. It is because of this law that hundreds of acres of rainforest are gone now. The president won't even allow for help from other countries to come to our aid. Firefighters are overworked, police was called in to help, so now they are using buckets to try and contain the fire. #sosChiquitania

As disappointing as this is, this is not a new concept brought on by an election change. This happens every year and has been for many many years. Is it disappointing, yes, is it something to remove a properly elected government for, especially when previous governments have also overseen it, no.

If the UN doesn't decide to invade Brazil to save the rainforest, it will demonstrate as it's last significant act how utterly powerless and meaningless the organization truly is. Period, full stop.
