Oh hai! A #plussizefashion post that isn’t a skirt or dress? What IS this? ☺️
.
I’m flying to Scotland today for 2 days at the @edinburghtvfest and wanted to be as comfy as possible on the plane.
.
I’ve gone for a loose fitting thin knitwear jumper from @Old Navy (I think only available in America but is a sister store of @ukgap), super stretchy black jeans from @asos_loves_curve and my new pink bow trainers from @skechers_uk 🎀.
.
✨Top Tips ✨
1. Avoid jeans if it’s a long flight. This is only 45 mins 💪🏻. If you do wear jeans, size up! These are from when I was 25lb heavier but now they just feel super comfy! (I do keep having to pull them up though 😬)
✨
2. Slip on shoes for airports! You just know the day you wear laces or something fiddly is the day you have to take them off for security!
✨
3. Out of shot is my tote bag. I always fold up a little cloth tote in my hand luggage and it ALWAYS comes in handy, especially with children around 👩👧👧❤️
✨
What little things do YOU do for flights to make life easier? It’s summer holiday season so your comments will be helpful to everyone! 💪🏻💖💫

If I'm taking a suitcase as my carry on luggage and you're only allowed one bag (easy jet) then I take a little flat cross body bag holding my purse, passport, phone, boarding pass etc for easy access at the airport, but then I can slip it into my suitcase if I need to to actually board the plane. Often they let you carry it on separately anyway, but I have had to put it inside once, so do make sure it fits!!

I wear leggings and t-shirt and whatever is my biggest pair of shoes - usually I'm a cabin luggage kinda gal - so usually my doc martens (😂) and a hoodie or jumper. Tip for fellow cabin luggage guys/gals/non-binary pals: put your toiletries baggie in with you electronics in a SEPARATE pocket/at the top of your bag, it's an absolute life saver.

I fly with a kid, and my best tip is to bring a small blanket. I roll it up and tie it with a ribbon, and either tuck it in my carry on suitcase or tie it on the outside. Especially if the trip includes train connections and waiting times, and various air conditioned spaces that we always find chilly.

I like making sure I’ve got everything out of my bag & ready for security (ie my laptop & DSL etc) so I don’t get all flustered at the front of the queue with angry people behind me!
I also always make sure I’ve got plenty of time so I’m not panicking at all.

I always keep all my electronics in the same bag, aside from my phone, and use the loo before trying to find my gate (easier to think straight if that's taken care of)

Always bring a book. I buy cheaper flights to get home to Canada and then may or may not have TV screens. Always bring a paperback.
