Rocky is only 3 years old. He slipped a disc and now has limited mobility in his back legs. His family wasn’t equipped to help him. His physical therapy is paid for the next 6 months, and they have hope he will walk again, but he needs a new home with a loving family that can help him. I hope it’s yours. nokke13 Awww, he’s just like my special boy, Oscar. He blew two discs last November and we had the surgery because he’s young, but his chances were really low. He is now still the happiest little guy, and although he isn’t walking....he gets around so quickly and plays and loves cuddles. It’s only brought us closer. He also can’t go to the bathroom without me expressing his bladder and bowels, but it’s just what we do now! It’s our new normal. We both have chronic conditions and we take care of each other. He just started swimming, and we are hoping that will help him even more. Physical therapy is SO expensive, so we use Nana’s pool! Rocky will be the perfect addition to a loving and patient person or family! The bond that comes with spending so much time with a special needs animal is absolutely incredible. I thought I loved my baby more than anything before he was paralyzed, but now our bond is stronger than I could’ve imagined. Please consider adopting Rocky! It is totally worth it! luckyfoxranch We had this happen to a 6 year dachshund. We had the choice of surgery or to keep him in his crate for 6 weeks -gently lifting him out for meals, potty breaks and hugs. It worked! He was able to walk & run and lived a normal healthy life for another 9 years!
