Read recipe 3x, Mise en place (get your ingredients measured or weighed in order of recipe), preheat oven. If your making pie crust everything very cold and let sit wrapped in refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, otherwise room temperature ingredients. Don't hurry baking takes time.
