Flint, Michigan. Now this. And as time goes by, more and more cities will be exposed with these water issues.

Peter Brabeck-Letmathe, a former chairman and CEO of Nestlé has been quoted as saying, “the idea that water is a human right is "extreme." Wherein lies the problem. Local, state and federal officials are “supported” by corporations to align the community/state/national agendas with the corporations. Corporations dump toxic waste, causing infrastructures to rots, or water tables to drop to unusable levels, corporations sell more products to consumers left without a choice or without knowledge. It’s not simple vote for new candidates. It’s be aware of where you spend your money. Who are you paying to slowly kill you? Research what you buy, who or what corporate interest is paying your current officials and fight on all fronts, not only at the ballot box.

We are having similar problems in a lot of older cities with old lead pipes. I'm sure if they dug up all the lead pipes and replaced it all it would solve some of the problems but if you live in an old home or building those pipes would have to be replaced as well at the owner's expense. Where I live we have water problems and it seems they keep adding more chemicals to get rid of the problems at our expense. No one likes it and we constantly complain at council meetings. I use a camping filtration system that I could drink pond or lake water after it's been run through.

I'll tell you what, if people are so damn worried about the ocean water rising because of global climate change *cough, cough* then why not use desalination factories.. India and Africa as well as others would benefit... then again it would be used to help and not for profit, so who's really gonna be interested... just my opinion, not my two cents. Need that change for later.....

These cities haven't updated their water systems in a hundred years. While it would be a long process they really should at least get started. Interesting that every single town that has disgusting water is run solely by Democrats. Maybe a little less concern over peoples genders and more attention to the fact that they need clean water.

People get lost into “politics”. Science is the key to solve some of the problems but without the will of the people as a collective, very little can be done.
I wish people would pay attention to the issues and not the politician or reality star who talk about them.

Definitely time to take care of the planet! But...you can move to my old home town of North Adams, Mass. The water is still good and the properties affordable. Proud to say that the reservoir is the on the site of my great great grandfather's dairy farm.
