Today’s #RoleModelMonday is @lovingthispaige, an award-winning dancer who was diagnosed with scoliosis at the young age of 13. When doctors told Paige her best option was a surgery that involved rods being put into her spine, she realized this could end her dancing career. After deciding against surgery, Paige went through years of physical therapy and back braces. Her fierce tenacity to overcome her disorder has led her to greatness. She has performed with Beyoncé, landed her own Intel commercial, and now just made her musical theater debut at Chicago’s famed Lyric Opera, in “West Side Story.” Paige, your resilience is so incredibly inspiring!

juliacarlile_xo this is the same story as me! I was told i was going to have to stop dance after fusion surgery for my scoliosis, until i went on Britain’s Got Talent and simon cowell paid for me to get a surgery in the USA so I could dance forever. This girl is so unbelievably strong💖

jessied_13 I was just recently diagnosed with scoliosis and learned that I have to wear a plastic brace 22 hours a day until my spine stops growing. I’m going to have to go into my freshman year of highschool wearing one and seeing this post really made me feel better about it.❤️

brooke_sloan17 That's amazing I'm so glad that she didn't let it stop her, I myself have scoliosis but when I found out I was too old for a back brace so surgery is still the only option but it's too risky. I won't let it stop me from full filling my dreams 💖💖💖

dani_girl516 I found out I have scoliosis around the same age. Mine was severe though and required 2 surgeries. It's good to see stories like this where people overcome their challenges!! Thank you for sharing @niasioux ❤️

katiehess15 I WAS a dancer and I’ve worn my back brace, still wearing it, since I was 8 and I am now 14! Scoliosis didn’t stop me from dancing but I powered through it while I was dancing🥳
