We came across this guy trapped on a fishing line. Let me tell you, it’s not easy to shoot steady video from a kayak while holding a pelican by the beak.

My mother cares for the pigeons' legs stringed because they are not diseases that mutilate their legs, but our hair, threads, strings and fishing lines that are thrown on the ground instead of in the trash. When you see wounded pigeons, look also if they have wounds that hurt them and if you can not save them like this pelican, feed them, thank you 🙏 👍👏.

amygooding8 Great job taking the time to help it! Just so you know for next time, Pelicans can’t breathe through their nares (nostrils) like other birds. So keep a couple fingers between the top and bottom beak to allow it to breath well. Appreciate you taking the time to help the pelican. Throw your fishing line away responsibly people.

quollx So great! But for future reference, pelicans don't have external nares (nasal openings) and will be calmer if you don't completely hold their mouth shut while trying to help them. Just a little gap helps! Well done though, overall!
