As many of you know, today I participated in the @pcoschallenge 5K in Long Beach. I was so excited to get to attend an event that reunited me with the PCOS advocates I met in Washington earlier this year and also to get to meet new ones. Never did I expect that PCOS Challenge had this in store for me. I had to fight tears when Sasha presented this to me. I am still relatively new to the PCOS community and honestly, it is the most supportive, welcoming, strong group of fighters that I’ve ever encountered in my life. I am honored to be a part of this community, humbled to be recognized for doing what I can to help and excited to continue to raise awareness and help make PCOS a public health priority. Thank you, PCOS Challenge. This is so meaningful to me. You have no idea.

autumn_reign Thanks for being an advocate for PCOS. I was diagnosed 9 years ago, and at the time I was told I would be unable to have kids. Last year for other reasons a hysterectomy was recommended to me which I opted for because I “couldn’t have kids”, and had let go of the idea of being a mom. Surgery didn’t happen twice, the second cancellation I had to do a bunch of changes because of insulin resistance in order to re schedule surgery. In the 3 months from that surgery cancellation to my surprise ended up getting pregnant. Currently 27 weeks with my miracle baby.

punkr0ckpixie84 This is great, and I 1000% feel that your contribution to the pcos community will do amazing things to bring awareness on a much bigger platform. I wonder if any movies exist about women with pcos, think the movie "what to expect when you're expecting, " but make it all different women, different walks of life , different circumstances all of them not letting pcos stop them from living life.

tacos_gets_fit You are amazing and inspiring. My wife @losing_with_love has PCOS and it’s a daily struggle for her. It’s people like you who help bring awareness and laughter to help the cause that is needed! Now with that said we need more superstore in our lives so go have fun working on season 6!

kerrykav I struggled with PCOS for 11 years before I met Sasha and the rest of @pcoschallenge. Since then I've gained knowledge and more importantly support. With you as a voice on such a large platform, I know the knowledge and care can only grow! Thank you @laurenelizabethash for all you do!
