Evidence of a good time. Sitting here reading As Consciousness Is Harnessed To Flesh by Susan Sontag. The way she writes about the power of the camera in On Photography speaks to me on so many levels, depending on my own mood, my own perspective in the moment. As I look at this photo, I feel so connected to her words here... “A photograph is both a pseudo-presence and a token of absence. Like a wood fire in a room, photographs—especially those of people, of distant landscapes and faraway cities, of the vanished past—are incitements to reverie.”

sharonnaturemama As a photographer myself (especially nature photography), I get this. Photographs tell stories and evoke feelings without the need for words. Photography is an artform that, like painting or poetry, reaches into the heart & soul and leaves it's mark there. Lovely photograph, Nikki! The camera is a powerful creative tool indeed! 😉📸💖
