I went searching for this structure known as #Kugelmugel. A spherical living space designed by Austrian artist Edwin Lipburger in 1971. Austrian authorities didn’t like it and threatened to tear it down but Lipburger cleverly thwarted the government by declaring it its own nation: The Republic of Kugelmugel. After a bit of a tussle Lipburger & the govt came to somewhat of an agreement & decided to move it to Vienna’s Prater Park. He said the original Austrian decision was a crime against freedom of artistic expression. It’s still recognized as its own autonomous Republic and its official address is ‘Anti-Fascism Square No. 2’. Pretty ironic considering he was fighting for its spherical shape, no? 😂 Anyway...bless the eccentrics of this world & it led me to another sweet adventure I wasn’t expecting... ⚫️🔲🇦🇹 #longlivelipburger #independentthinking #praterpark #vienna

myauralfixation I love this story! It would be difficult to furnish, as most furniture has sharp lines. Lots of bean bags...
