Slow play affects the quality of the game for both players and our fans and I’ve always had the utmost respect for my playing partners, including JT and Tommy. I’m constantly trying to improve and I will do my very best to improve my pace. Golf is my passion and livelihood. It’s my responsibility to help improve the game to be more enjoyable for all. Pace of play has been an issue for golf at all levels for a long time, and I'm committed to being a part of the solution, not the problem. I want to be a good representative of the game and the @PGA TOUR and I looking forward to working with the TOUR and fellow players to find a solution to slow play.

@showerbeerking “for us” is a little presumptuous, I know many pro’s at lots of levels and not one has said to me it would slow things down. Caddies and pros always want the end number and having that to hand in a second can ONLY speed things up! Also with a bushnell you can zap trees, lips of bunkers etc etc etc all faster than pacing it out or working things in your head. I hear your argument many times but it’s always from the seniors that don’t like technology or the thought of moving forward. Have a watch of a practice round and see how many don’t use bushnells that should show you that your idea is as old as dinosaurs

@brysondechambeau I think it is ridiculous singling you out for this gibberish. Admittedly you are a very thorough when it comes to preparing for a shot or a putt. But there are many slow players on the PGA. I put a stopwatch on Patrick Reed Sunday afternoon on an 8 foot putt. Two minutes and 46 seconds from marking his ball to completing the putt. Of course that went unnoticed because he was leading and the potential winner. You are everything good about the game. Keep doing what you’re doing do not change.

Just a short story in defence of Bryson Dechambeau. In the Walker cup just before he turned pro he was the top stick for the USA. He was playing in the final match against Ashley Chesters. On the first hole at Royal Lytham they both had a decent chance at birdie. Chesters went first and missed leaving a putt of about 40 inches. Dechambeau gave him the putt. He wanted to win it only with a birdie, not with Chesters missing. A class act I thought.

I wish there was more players on the PGA Tour who are interactive with their fans like @brysondechambeau. Its easy to follow, respect, and look up to people as role model and get into golf when you interact with the fans on and off the course. I wish the best of luck for now and @brysondechambeau career cause he has the skills and mentality to be something great for this game and the kids who look up to him. 🏌⛳

Love how you are handling this. Did not love that one player has been singled out; it has never been just one player. I recall someone taking half an hour at the 2017 Open for a shot. This being said @pgatour is in the entertainment industry. Slow play is not helping growing the game...I recently cancelled my Sky subscription here in Germany as I was permanently falling asleep.

Unbelievably classy response. As was the behaviour of Fleetwood and Thomas on the course when they must have been feeling frustrated. You are a credit to the game and at taking it new levels with your incredible talent and unique response. Like Sergio with his endless waggle tears ago, I don’t think you realise you are taking so much time, and I am sure you will fix it.
