I gave my final goodbye to my best friend of 17 years, who was the love of my life.
My amazing friends, family and coworkers rallied, helped and sent so much love and support his way. That alone has made the pain bearable and I am forever grateful.
Floyd, my little soul mate. You taught me what unconditional love really means and you will always be my North Star. I am the luckiest girl that out of everyone, you chose me.
Still trying to put one foot in front of the other, but since you learned to walk right after becoming a tripod, I’ll do my best to follow your lead.
Till we meet again, your nap is earned my sweet boy. mom
My deepest and heartfelt thanks to Dr Zoe, Sara and the team @snpla for providing him with the most incredible care, and treating him like he was their own. They are a non-profit clinic that provides low cost veterinary services to underserved communities in Los Angeles.

dogs_for_life_xxi Bah sorry to see this. I have 6 dogs and I spend 27/7 with them, I work from home and I don’t socialise - well I do, with my dogs. I’d take a dog over any human... they are full of love. I actually thought about it last night, my dogs are the only beings that I can say truly love me, like a pure love that nobody else gives and I don’t love any human like I love them either. RIP little Floyd ❤️

xowinterloverxo I’m so very sorry for your loss @kateomoennig. I know that pain all too well. My beloved Fendi, our 8 year old beautiful black cat passed away from breast cancer 3 years ago & she was taken from us within 32 days from diagnosis. The pain was unbearable, she was my fur daughter & I will miss her forever. Hugs to you. I truly am so sorry. 😔💔🙏🏻

jessimarieweev I'm so sorry @kateomoennig. I've lost a child & I'm one of the weird humans that will tell you... It compares to that. I had to watch my human son go the 7 blessed years I had him. I also had furry babies I let go. Grieve how you need and as long as you need & don't let anyone tell you different. Lots of love 💗 & hugs.

suzie_que_pie So sorry for your loss. I feel your pain. I lost both my fur baby girls in 2009. Abby 15yrs Black lab & Sam 14 yrs old Dalmatian. My daughter’s dog is almost 15 yrs old. He not doing well. It’s going to break her heart when he’s gone. He been the best friend a kid could have. God bless

zuska90 Recently had to put down my fuzzy little brother. 17 years with him as well. He lived a long, beautiful life and he was SO loved. Seems so unfair that they have to leave us so soon. I know he wanted to stay. It's been a few weeks and it still breaks my heart every day. All my love ♥️
