bearswithglasses as a travel companion in the wild? Most cats won't come when called, nor can they be off leash on a mountain safely, though this can be said of many other animals including dogs. I grew up with cats and love them, but I wouldn't take one into a national park for a 6 month trek. I'd take a Taiwanese mountain dog (#台灣土狗 #台灣犬) any day of the week. Fringe benefit, the Taiwanese mountain dog was bred to hunt bears, so if they're well trained, they know what to do with a bear encounter.😂 Want one?
