Among the many delights in the book are the sessions for the Diamond Dogs album, both for the iconic outer cover and the artwork which was produced originally for the inner gatefold of the sleeve. (In the event a photomontage of a cityscape by Leee Black Childers was used inside.) Both paintings were created by Guy Peellaert based on Terry's pictures and you can read more about them here:

peter.sebring When I first stumbled upon Diamond Dogs I was already kinda homeless and had just lost my biggest idol and his support, my daughter and her mother, done the Camino de Santiago and returned from Barcelona when I had my first and only Trans contact after being with Amphetamine Annie for a while. A friend's place in Neukölln allowed me the weirdest dream with her and the taste of Almighty when being able to virtually control everything consciously but also had to which after a godd#mn short amount of time turned into a nightmare without life. That was exactly the moment when hope was a "cheap thing" for the first time I had listened. It will forever touch my heart this dystopian vibe that I had lived through and that perfectly matched this record's vibe. Like it was written by the creator herself. I'm in tears...

ade_the_fonz_ Best social studies class was listening to this great album back in 1974. Read 1984 the book. Then assignments to write. The album didn’t leave my turntable for months
