This kinda farming is picking up momentum in the UK right now, along with solar farms. Last count Wind Power apparently makes up a quarter of the power supplied in the UK. I just need to get my arse into gear and sign up to a power company that supplies their green energy. As for bird strikes, I don't like the thought of that but spend a bit of time doing a little research and you'll find fossil fuels, cats, electricity pylons, radio tower strikes, humans, air pollution, window strikes, vehicle strikes etc are an even bigger threat to the bird population than wind turbines could ever be. I'm glad that when my 4yr old Nephew looks out of the car window on a trip, he sees these wind turbines (or Me-mees as he used to call them because he couldn't say Windmills) in fields and out to sea. They're his landscape. It's a good sign. I certainly didn't look out of Mum and Dad's car window in the mid 70's on a trip and see them, I saw gigantic cooling towers from various types of power plants and cold steel chimneys choking out smoke from oil refineries. I love these wind giants. Seeing a line of them slowly turning across the ridge of a hill in the countryside in the UK is pretty magical, especially during Sunset. They almost look like mechanical trees from a distance and I like to see them there as much as I do a line of Old English Oak trees. We could definitely do with a few more million trees whilst were making our home that little bit greener though. If everyone did a tiny bit to improve their own patch of Planet the whole World would be in a much better state. Even growing a few weeds (my kinda low maintenance gardening 🤣) would support the birds and the bees, so there's no excuse really. 🐝🐞🍃😍 Blimey is that the time? 🤣 I think I could stand in front of one of those turbines and produce at least 6kw an hour just talking at it 🤣💚💚💚

Thought you were driving thru our neck of the woods, @kevinbacon ... Western Illinois. We've got a ton of them... And it's all you see at night across the horizon.

We are a scourge on the planet. How about opening a window in the summer, putting on a sweater in the winter, walking instead of driving?

Still better than coal. Not sure if people are aware but you can't keep taking that stuff out of the mountains and not replace it.

I loved driving to Denver Colorado and seeing those in Kansas. Wish we had them all over.
