@ediphotoeye and I never listened to “how things should be done” and instead we found our own way of life and then each other. As we become parents I don’t plan to change that.

Already I’ve gotten tons of advice I never asked for. About how I “need to do X” and “definitely buy Y” or that “the times of doing Z are over”. The last decade I got used to how people project their fears and worries onto me. My brain always reacts the same way “just because you can’t do it, doesn’t mean I won’t be able to. Watch me.” Of course, there’s rarely a reason to say that, I just smile and nod. Actions speak louder than words.

No doubt, in my ignorance I’ll fall on my face a few times, but in the end I’ll find my way of being a father and I’m excited to report what it will look like 😊

People who will live the life are the people who are willing to defeat their fears, who are ready to fall on his face and has no fear to do mistakes. gsb_otoshi I think I'm slowly learning this. Doing me, letting go of what others want me to do, even my most trusted teachers have mislead me sometimes. I wonder where it'll take me.

kylegoesupsidedown That text is exactly how I feel. Everyone tells me what I should and shouldn't be doing, but I seem to be just fine, if not, doing more well than them.
