I cried with Steve as he ran behind the ambulance crying ‘Angel, take us with you’ . It was a universal cry ..all of us looking for an OA who would tell us that an entirely new world was indeed possible and did exist. It is the anxiety and depression we face in the anthropocene that made us all want to follow you into another dimension. I am beyond upset that we live in a world where companies like @Netflix has the ‘power’ to randomly decide after ‘careful consideration’ that it wouldn’t renew important , creative and genius story telling such as ‘The OA’ . @Brit, I’m a HUGE fan of yours and everything you do . I wish that you (and all of us) lived in a dimension where your creative work could be put out for the world to enjoy instead of depending on external factors . As it should be. I had a difficult time directing this news. OA is definitely very much alive in my head. The only way I can deal with this is by writing about her and giving back her wings . Thank you so much for you and for OA.

I’m still feeling angry, sad, empty that this show is cancelled. And I’m coming round to the fact that it wasn’t ‘fake cancelled’. I am sure you wouldn’t write all this as some sort of plot development twist. I know you won’t read this or care about my feelings because I’m sure you’re feeling worse than me. It’s just, how final this statement sounds. That you won’t be continuing the story, that Steve and the others will be suspended in time forever, I’m having a really hard time accepting that, and a bit angry that it sounds like you’re just giving up. You have the story, in your mind. And perhaps you are angry too and that’s why you wrote that like you did but I truly hope that at some point, in some way, you can share the rest of the story only you and a few others know the details and ending of because I can’t imagine it not being told and I can’t imagine never getting to know what happens and how it all connects and intertwines and loops.

This is heartbreaking. I can't tell you how excited I was by the ending of Season 2 and the absolute certainty, in my mind, that a Season 3 would follow, no matter how long it took. I'm sure I'm one of thousands who immediately thought to ask you "How much money would we need to raise to produce a Season 3?? Who do we need to write to to make this happen?" But it sounds like, for whatever reasons you have, you've really already grieved, said goodbye, and moved on no matter what else could or couldn't happen. That really saddens me, but it doesn't take away from what you accomplished in those amazing two seasons. I will never be OK with this interruption of this story, but I'll never forget how surprising, moving, weird, impossibly moving and sincere, inspiring, tearjerking, entertaining, and addictive this show was, and still is, as long as Netflix will keep it up. Thanks so much for as much as we got - it was spectacular.

Just found out about this show less then a week ago on Netflix, and literally went threw all episodes within a few days. I was hooked immediately, and found myself always thinking about what is going to happen next when I had stopped. This was a show that always left you thinking and questioning in a good way, on how certain connections will tie together within the universe's and characters. In hearing that a 3rd season would be cancelled was just heartbreaking, in becoming so attached to the show and the characters within it. So many shows today lack that certain substance that pulls a show from good to greatness, and this show had it. The reasoning of the cancellation of this show I will never understand, but just utter stupidity. A tremendous job and thank you to the cast, director's and film crew for letting us into this world of possibilities and thinking outside the box.

Okay so this is a little far fetched but I think this is honestly a hoax... at the end of the second season only the oa, happ, and Steve traveled to our universe. If you look at their Instagrams they didn’t post anything about the show ending but the rest of the cast did. Netflix didn’t state anything about the show ending also. In the third season OA travels to our dimension where she is playing the role in the show. She gets hurt while filming. Netflix cuts out their budget due to safety reasons or realistically anything... in one of the episodes OA is on the plane where there is a screen that has the Netflix logo on it. Hinting at the idea that she is in our universe and that Netflix as a role in the third season.

Nooooo @britmarling JUST having time ( in the summer school holiday dimensions) to truly get into part two OA. Took me a few episodes ( and often added subtitles so I ‘got it’) but WELL worth sticking with it. Currently on episode 5 - saddens me to know it won’t be concluded. Maybe take it to @jeffbezos for some healthy Amazon competition? Clearly from your likes here there’s appetite for it. Thank for creating this epic wonderful tale and for great direction and acting from all. #timetravel and #lifeafterdeath or ‘death’ (transition) is real .. not enough awakened souls in this dimension yet perhaps? Can’t exec producer #bradpitt do something. Let’s all rally x
