Not how I expected to spend my night last night- in A&E with Pearlie. 🙁
.
She was near a door, our guest shut the door and Pearl’s finger was trapped in the hinge.
.
There is no worse pain than seeing your child in pain, hearing that cry that you know is them in agony. It near broke me.
.
We put ice on it, rang 111, were advised to go to hospital and have an X-ray.
.
Glad to say her bones are fine, her growth plates are great (so her finger will grow normally) and with calpol and tlc she’ll be a-ok 🥰
.
She seems fine this morning. Bit bruised but using the hand and playing well. Big loves to the NHS who were so kind and offered brilliant service throughout. ❤️
.
Going to stay at home and edit today- I have 3 lovely videos to upload for you so will work on those whilst I feel over dramatically devo’d for my babe 😂

@louisepentland whilst I understand that as a parent we feel every ounce of pain our children as though it’s our own. I appreciate that you were worried and the incident was emotional.
However I find this post incredibly unnecessary and passive aggressive.
Especially given that the “guest” mentioned is a member of your family and is also an impressionable teenager who also has Instagram.
I too have nothing but love for our NHS, there are better ways to demonstrate your feelings without taking a passive swipe at my daughter.

Bless her! Similar thing happened to me when I was about 2 or 3 yrs. My brother closed the car door on my hand by accident. It was winter at the time and I still remember wearing my red mittens. The nurses said that it could have been worse without the mittens. I was just the same as her re. her growth plates. Hope she has a speedy recovery, bless her 💗💗

That cry, the cry that is different to any other, the cry of panic and terror and exquisite agony. When you hear it you stomach drops, your heart contracts and your instincts turn you into the hulk trying to get to them to make it stop. Poor baby and you mama, hope you both come out of it as unscathed as can be xx

Poor baby☹️I accidentally shut the car door on my daughters hand. Awful feeling with her crying and screaming. I think she was around 2 years old. Trip to the emergency room where not was broken but badly bruised. I felt awful 😟. She’s now 36 and laughs about it and we’re very close 👍

When I was 2, my big sister shut my finger in the door and almost completely skinned it. I was lucky I didn’t lose the top section. Everything ended up fine after some stitches and here I am 18 years later and my finger is only a little crooked. So glad Pearl made out okay 🥰

I've been there, except with fright I yanked my hand out of the door hinge area ( it was a heavy fire door) and ended up pulling off the top of my left middle finger. Luckily the bone was unharmed. I was probably seven when it happened and was in school :/
