Trump/ NRA, stop blaming mental illness. It’s insulting to our intelligence — we need to call out the hatred + dangerous radicalized nationalism that is killing countless innocent lives - America’s mental illness is just as prevalent as the rest of the world. Do our cops deserve to go against assault weapons? Wake up‼️Stand up to the NRA. We don’t just need background checks + age limits, we need to ban these assault guns and high-capacity magazines federally. Text CHECKS to 644-33 to demand your senators take action on gun safety reform. If we need a license to drive, we should need one to own a gun on a FEDERAL level. Don’t allow yourselves to believe this is normal. We will not be desensitized or complicit❗️#Ohio #Texas #NRA #DomesticTerrorism #racism #whitesupremacy 🚫#dangerousrhetoric 🚫 #endgunviolence #disarmhate

Stop talking guns & let’s talk lazy parents. Let’s talk parents who don’t care enough to give attention to their children when needed. Let’s talk about BIG PHARMA! Ever thought of that one? 👏🏼 Hundreds and thousands of kids are brought to a doctor by their parents because they “can’t focus” “they have too much energy” and what’re they do? Prescribe medication that alters your damn mind and body. Saying a rifle is a problem is like saying a damn spoon is a problem and that’s why people are fat. There’s no “gun violence”. Yes, there is hate violence, but it’s not the guns fault. A person could’ve killed just as many people without a gun. I’d be interested to see the history and background of all of these people. What foods they were fed, what medications they were prescribed etc etc. it’s not a damn gun problem. It’s big pharma and the government brain washing everyone thinking medication is the way of life. Meth is illegal, but we’re basically FEEDING meth to those children who “can’t concentrate”. And instead of pushing vaccines that harm children, and push prescription medication that harm children let’s push self mental care. Instead of prescribing people with anxiety medication, let’s teach them mental health exercise. Millions of American own rifles and millions of rounds of ammo. They aren’t shooting up the world. It’s not the guns problem, it’s the damn government and people who struggle with mental health that are guided and taken care of properly.

@marthahunt so I read your comments and it looks like you literally know nothing on the guns, “assault” weapons and pull the facts/“data” of suspicious nature. How can you post something deep like this not knowing the nature of the issue? Also, you delete many comments. So when you’re talking about the history of “AR/AK” like you stated developer for the American army, you better read it first:
@marthahunt excuse me but AR was the weapon of Cold War invented by America and AK is:
DescriptionThe AK-47, officially known as the Avtomat Kalashnikova, is a gas-operated, 7.62×39mm assault rifle, developed in the Soviet Union by Mikhail Kalashnikov. It is the originating firearm of the Kalashnikov rifle family. Design work on the AK-47 began in 1945
So Kalashnikov is turning in his coffin after your words. How can you make valid points not knowing what you are talking about? It makes everything you’ve said absolutely invalid. With all respect to you as a VS model and all the charity that you do.

@marthahunt I can tell you care a lot about this since you took the time to respond to so many people. There are things we can do that might make things a little better but there’s 400,000,000 guns out in the states. 10,000,000 of them the AR-15 style. It’s also easy to 3D print lower receivers that allow you to assemble these guns in your garage. This situation isn’t going away anytime soon. Last time the Democrats passed a ban on the sale of assault weapons they lost the house and the senate so while they talk tough they won’t pass that again. Not trying to take either side, but the NRA has its power not from money, but from all the people who think the exact same way as them and that’s why America is so different than these other nations. Those voters are willing to accept gun control while America is a long way away from that.

Our country was built by the people for the people with freedom of speech and our freedom to bear arms. I know America has lived in a pretty nice cozy bubble since WW2. Many current generations have had it very easy and don't have any thoughts that something horrible could happen on our own soil where it would become necessary for each person to be able to defend themselves, their families and property. Of course high powered guns and large magazines are not really necessary AT THE MOMENT, but what happens if we get invaded or a civil war takes place, or the government gets overthrown by a foreign power and we have to attempt to defend ourselves? We have a vast and wonderfully free country and I hope nothing like that EVER happens, but protecting my life, my family, should it ever come to that, is my right.

Do you know what "natural rights" are? They are "endowed upon us by our creator " as affirmed in the Constitution. This is why America is the greatest country in the world. We can speak freely as long as it doesn't incite violence, we can keep and bare arms, equal to those used against us. We may travel freely without infringement. These are but a few "inalienable rights bestowed upon us by our creator " The US Constitution acknowledges this. Unfortunately these rights will continue to be eroded by state and federal laws even though they are invalid if they try to supersede the Constitution. We were born with these rights and unfortunately those who prefer safety over freedom deserve neither.
