It’s my best friend Katie’s birthday. Here are a couple things I’ve learned from her this year 1. Ask for the time off, buy the plane ticket, and show up to as much as you can 2. Fall in love with the people your best friends love. You are kindred spirits too 3. When the wave of who you’ve always been comes to pick get you, stand up on your board and ride. (I just made a surfing metaphor because: tie-dye shirts.) HAPPY BIRTHDAY MY FRIEND.

@vrayskull thanks for sharing this valuable friendship post. My dearest brother friend @mlarmstrong1997 was the friend who always taught me so much about life and myself. He passed this year very unexpectedly, and there’s not a week that goes by that I don’t wish he were still on this earth teaching me. Yet, I am still learning from his life well lived.
