When photographing them, I try to look for similar emotions as if I was shooting a person. This subject looks downright confident and poised. We have all seen the jaw-type images, but white sharks natural beuaty is often overlooked. Especially under gorgeous light. This was photographed on the .5s Time Lapse Photo Mode from inside a shark cage. • Great white in the great blue. I love shooting in natural light underwater. When you have underwater visibility like this, light can become magic and even at a bit of a depth you have great contrast. You can’t help but admire a sharks body shape; refined and ready for action. • In order to co-exist, they must exist. Did you know that we kill upwards of a 100 million shark a year? Sharks have been around before dinosaurs and survived mass extensions when nearly every thing else on earth was wiped away. I often feel like I’m looking at a Dinosaur when diving with sharks. • This is Scalia (she has many alias) and her home is the clear waters of The Bahamas. I photographed this with #GoProHERO7 Black using .5s Time Lapse Photo Mode with a red filter and the white balance set to 6000K.
