"Not everything that is faced can be changed. But nothing can be changed until it is faced" #JamesBaldwin. I’m wishing a very Happy Birthday today to the legend and icon James Baldwin. Baldwin has been one of the most influential voices in my work. RIP. RP via @ARRAYNow.

I'm from Portugal, I didn't knew about James Baldwin but I'm curious to read "Fire Next Time". It took courage to talk like that at that time, it takes courage now. Racism is everywhere, I see it in my country, not at America level, not even close, but I see it cause I have black friends that I love and here, in this small country we condemn people for it, they can't hide! I think it's easy to not see racism if u live apart in ur "own little world", racism is about wrong education, first is pure evil and then education, in the past people had no voice, there weren't so many platforms to talk or expose all of it but now with so much information? It's beyond me why it's so real, why it exists! Well I know why but it's heartbreaking knowing the reasons behind it. As long as people in power continue to spread this prerogative, as police only see " black crime, as long religion says Jesus is white, Santa is white (HE DOESN'T EXIST), so many things that treat black people as a minority, as long the right kind education doesn't exist nothing is gonna change. The right education is that we are only one race, the human race! There should be a reset button for racists and for everything else, homophobia, xenophobia, pedophilia, misogyny...everything. Why hate so much? Most people don't understand racism, say it doesn't exist, well, I don't understand hate, evil.

My Brother❤️ yes, we gotta talk about it. Let’s do it together. There’s so much we can do and I’m already working on it as much as I can here in NYC and all over the globe. Repentance must be embraced and openly acknowledged. My heart is on board. Somehow never understood why God gave me a white skin when on the inside I feel black. But I guess it’s to be the first of many people who won’t be afraid to witness and ask for forgiveness if necessary even if personally I know that my true roots are africain. I’m available. With Sincere and profound Love and respect your brother Joe G.

Really,... A Brave mind... a Brave man... Because to talk about the truth... Isn't all time so easy... And no... In your position. I suppose you are a warrior of the truth... To. Congratulations!... And so sorry for my basic English 😉

This whole interview was eye opening for me. Malcom X had a lot to say as well. Look up the full piece!
