G is 17 today. He drives. Loves all things spicy. His dimple is his tell. Every decision he makes is carefully considered. Every creature’s life matters, even the spider that he‘ll make me trap to release before he can enter that room. He fixes everything for me and is a master of technology. He’s goofy, sweet, and cares deeply about the things we all should. He’s willful and polite and a steadying influence in our crazy house. I’ve had to face the fact that he’s smarter than me since he was five, yet he’s kind enough to let me act otherwise. I love him. So much. Happy Birthday my G. I’m so lucky I’m your Mom.
