Avocado lovers are HARD CORE! Fresh fruits and vegetables are A-Okado to go through security! However, if you’re in a serious relation-CHIP with your avocado toast or you went av-o-control making your world-famous guacamole, we’re here to give you a reminder. If you carry-on anything that can spread, smear, pump, pour or spray, it will still have to follow TSA’s liquid’s rule (3.4 ounces or less sized containers that fit into one quart-sized, resealable bag).

So my mom runs a farmers market in CA. She was taking Reed avos cross country to her husband's boss. TSA had NO CLUE what they were going through X-ray as they looked like C4....and cannon ball sized!!!! They airport staff and TSA all had a good laugh!! Also the avos made it safe and sound!

Thanks for the #protips, @tsa! Though, I was pretty bummed to hear that the agents at LAX thought my kosher for Passover halva was spreadable (it’s definitely more in the fudge family than the hummus camp) and confiscated it. Next time, I’ll send them to @asktsa for full dessert enjoyment.

@hungryhungryjefe I made a cake and frosting for a celebration but couldn’t bring the frosting through....unless it was ON the cake, so I literally was frosting a cake in the security line to take it on the plane.
