It is just part of everyday life." — This Sunday’s FA Community Shield between Liverpool and Manchester City will kick-off the #HeadsUp campaign 🗣 a season of activities aimed at driving the biggest ever conversation on mental health.

Heads Up – launched by The Football Association and @heads_together, and spearheaded by The Duke of Cambridge – will harness the influence and popularity of football to help show the nation that we all have mental health, and it is just as important as physical health.

The campaign will strive to raise awareness, spark conversation and signpost support for those in need. Take a look at out Story or visit the link in our bio to find out.

If a fan wants immediate support 📱🇬🇧 they can also text ‘HeadsUp’ to 85258 to connect with a trained @giveusashoutinsta crisis volunteer, who will chat to them by text message, sharing only what feels comfortable, and help them through the moment, working together on a a plan for longer-term support.

melody_parussini I suffer with both depression and anxiety disorder and mine never occurred till after I had my first child . I got a chemical imbalance after my first child (a son) and they never diagnosed me for over 3 years and I suffered so horribly and was terrified to have another child due to something I had no control over. It takes over when it's mental health!!!! It's finally being talked about and so many like myself suffer including both men and women 😢😢 Thank you for your kind and compassionate work you both do. I love you both and you will be our future King and queen and do such great things . DIANA IS PROUD I'M SURE OF IT. SHE RAISED A FINE FUTURE KING👑🎩

scottys_rose Mental health is so important! I love that your country focuses on this. I'm an American and its jus not the same here. Its shamed, so even if its another underlying issue causing the mental illness its never discussed or looked at, jus swept under the rug. I should say that many holistic doctors will have you change your diet and rule out gut bacteria but most doctors here jus give a person medication and ignore them.

lecorsairezar Prince William is a great leader, an excellent speaker and a thoughtful and intelligent man; he behaves like an adult, too as does the DoC. It takes a lot of strength to work on this initiative and it is great that he was so impacted by this topic when he was a helicopter responder
