Fact: Memory and Amnesia
Depending on the damage caused to the various parts of the brain, Greenberg and Verfaellie, 2010 found the strongest support that came from brain damaged patients that our memory uses different memory systems. For instance Henke (2010) found evidence that ‘non-declarative memory’ form a long-term memory that influence behaviour but do not involve conscious recollection (Priming, Procedural Memory) which is found when learning to ride a bicycle again after a long time or piano playing; also known as implicit memory. This procedural memory uses the Basal Ganglia part of the brain whereas Priming uses the Neocortex. Episodic memory is a form of long-term memory concerned with personal experiences or episodes occurring in a given place at a specific time and according to Binder and Desai (2011, p. 527) we use the Semantic Memory to form a long term memory consisting of general knowledge about the world, concepts, language etc. The similarities between episodic and semantic memory comes into play when remembering to visit a friend at a coffee shop at a certain time (Episodic Memory) and the (Semantic Memory) helps the individual to remember which coffee or tea they like to drink. This Declarative Memory uses the Medial Temporal Lobe and Diencephalon and if there is no damage in these areas according to Spiers et al. (2001) and the extensive strong support from Greenberg and Verfaellie, (2010) the extent of the anterograde amnesia is dependent on the damage that has occurred in the hippocampus or fornix areas of the brain and as Vargha-Khadem et al (1997) states along with Gardiner et al, (2008) although the learning and memory recall was reduced it was not completely lost for long-term episodic memory, and the semantic memory essentially remained intact. Short-term Memory was not affected Spiers et al. (2001, p. 359). HSH NFSHR 2019 © - BSc With Commendation In Health Studies - Speciality In Mental Health and Diabetes Management - LLB

Fact: Multi Store Model
Atkinson and Shiffrin (1968) described the basic architecture of the memory system. According to the multi-store model, environmental stimulation is initially processed by sensory stores. These stores are modality-specific (e.g. vision, hearing). Information is held very briefly in the sensory stores with some being attended to and processed further by the short-term store. Some information processed in the short-term store is transferred to the long-term store. There is a direct relationship between the amount of rehearsal in the short-term store and the strength of the stored memory trace in the long-term memory. Iconic memory is a sensory store that holds visual information for approximately 500 milliseconds or perhaps somewhat longer. The existence of iconic memory increases the time for which visual information is available to us for instance when reading. Echoic Memory is a sensory store that holds auditory information for approximately two seconds. Ioannides et al (2003) measured brain activation when tones are presented. The duration of echoic memory was longer in the left hemisphere than the right (maximum of five seconds versus two seconds respectively). This hemispheric difference in the brain probably reflects the dominance of the left hemisphere in language processing. There are sensory stores associated with each of the other senses (e.g. touch, taste). However, they are less important than iconic and echoic memory and have attracted much less research.

@lory_graziella thats true, We are trying to raise awareness of the dangers that exist online for very young children, people nowadays shove a device under their childrens noses and it keeps them quite. Vut without supervision your child is soon able to work out how to browse. Watch a young child on youtube for example. They soon end up all over the place with videos after learning just once how to scroll and tap. EVEN SKIP ADS!

You sang like never before on those two tracks. Like your whole life was in them. 💙 Right from your heart and soul. Everyone keeps playing them. You know how loved and special you are. You don't need you know whose approval they just belittle you because of their own insecurities 🤗🤗🤗
