cajuncutie53 You've been all over the world, how is it you've not been on a ferry. Hell you were in NOLA. Right down the road in Plaquemines Parish people cross the ferry every day. Next time y'all are down, it's a most excellent bike ride to La Terre Promise', our family home built in 1727 or so now owned by my brother Gregory.

dellajcollins Here in TN, we hold an event that riding the local ferries is the goal...well, along with plenty of twisty TN hollers. Of course, the ferries are small and usually only a two or three mile ride, but the ramps are clunky and slippery! We have about forty riders on the rides. Fun, fun!

317amandarf Lake Michigan can be a mother!! I grew up a block from Lake Erie(love) swimming every damn day, assuming it was proper temp!! Hehehe. You guys should try when the ass end is completely down, and all you see is water, no sky, and back up, and down.

bottomoflake2011 Lake Winnebago in Wisconsin is fantastic as well! The annual EAA Fly-in just wrapped up for 2019, but there are sooo many more events each year including wind surfing and sturgeon spearing season. The Great Lakes region is like nothing else :)
