Initially, I was disheartened by the severe smog that morning, since it was likely the only opportunity in my life to not only witness the beauty of the spectacular mausoleum, but also take pictures of it - a dream for most photographers. I didn’t let it get the better of me. Instead, I reminded myself that adverse conditions sometimes lead to more creative opportunities. As the sun rose, its rays lit up the dense smog, creating an amazingly rich background for the silhouettes of the building to stand against.
