Just a little bit of concealer, blush, and lipstick on in this heatwave. I’ve never been sure if it’s because of how fair my skin is or what, but nearly every breakout I have turns into a scar - even if I don’t touch it. I have freckles so it’s not always super visible (and I don’t breakout super often) but it is a bummer when my skin is cleared up and I can still see the echoes of my breakout. I’ve found a few things that can be helpful for fading old marks (vitamin C oil is great for it) but something I really like is microinfusion treatments. You basically can lstamp” serums + hyaluronic acid, or even snail mucin (some people stamp fillers or botox in this way too) into your skin using a small tool. It’s not like a needle but it does go a bit beyond the surface level. I went to @thethingswedo.co last week and while I was a bit pink for about an hour afterwards, it’s the sort of treatment where you see results right away and over time. In just the last few days I’ve seen the marks start to fade and my skin feels a lot brighter than it did after a week of too much sun + long travel days. Just wanted to share about microinfusions because I think the word can sound a bit mysterious but I really like the treatment. Thank you @nursejanetg for taking such good care of me.

prettylittlefawn @jadeshillerwrites my chin and around my mouth tend to be where I breakout but occasionally the cheeks too. I’ve never had to deal with cystic acne though, and I know that is so painful and difficult. I’ve heard microneedling is great to help with the scarring! But I’m not an expert of course 💕

prettylittlefawn @sherlockdiary it takes so much time but they hopefully will fade! Every time I get a new breakout I’m upset because I think “oh great, another future scar”. It’s a hard cycle to break, so I’m glad you haven

rebecca_fear Have you ever tried rosehip seed oil? It’s very good for treating the post-inflammatory redness part of scarring that fair skin is prone to. The Ordinary has a great one.
