It wasn’t necessarily what I expected either and I know exactly what you’re referring to in regards to those two characters... but I loved it and thought that while it was quintessential Tarantino, it was also in some ways (pacing, editing, quiet moments instead of constant music cuts), not the typical Tarantino cinematic experience. His love letter to Old Hollywood truly was a wonderful love letter though, achieved with some tenderness IMO, mixed in with his signature punchiness. 🙌

scarlet_fitzgerald @lil_shaunie the plot is extremely slow, i kept on wondering what is significant about Margot’s character? I didn't get it. I'm going to see it again, just to make sure that I'm not bugging out. For nearly 3 hours good acting...slow plot. So I'll watch again. I will say its definitely a homage to that era of Hollywood. But yea that's all I got. Will watch again just to make sure im not missing anything.

cinematictendency @organicpeachmeech It was not what I was expecting. I mean, I knew it was based on true events but it ended up having a way more fictional approach. W/o getting into details, there were two real characters that I thought we were going to see way more of them. Still enjoyed it, stilled entertained me, and I will still buy the movie.

bdshows @shannonsedlacek you just dont appreciate good filmmaking. The acting, directing, cinematography, social commentary, references, historical accuracy and tweaking, the concept, its all grade A shit. You just didnt get it. If you want mindless action watch michael bay shit.

lil_shaunie @scarlet_fitzgerald As I was leaving I heard 2 people say that it was 1 of the worse movies they had seen in a long time. I think the trailer for it was misleading. Here's a bunch of good actors in a movie that it has to be good right.
