erin_hues As a social worker who is working under the most irrational of presidencies, myself and my clients (ESPECIALLY my clients, and even more needed my adolescent clients) are beyond grateful for fellow humans like yourself who are using their privilege to actively work towards ending mental health stigma. I had a young adolescent client come in saying that they was having a good day solely because they had seen that schools in the area were going to be recognizing mental health days for students who struggle with mental health issues (never mind the fact that at the end of the day we are a closed system, making mental/emotional health significantly connected to physical health) This person is a young, brilliant, beautiful mind, and both seeing how stigmatization has impacted them, as well as the immense hope it gives them when those in power, privilege and false projections/expectations of ‘perfection’ face down their demons and use their positions to speak up has an impact that is immense at the very least. Thank you for continuing to be a badass and providing us with a more holistic example of what human existence truly looks like. Thank you 🙏🏻

lyly_macaron Ho gosh, how you do right! I'm living mental health issues because I have bipolar disorder for 10 years (even before it I went to the good doctor's) and I tried to help my family by "disappearing" because I thought I was about to always be a problem for them and their quiet life. When my soul tried to leave this world twice, I've everytime seen the very same hands towards me. Love is my hero too, so is my family.
