It's art, the thing with it is, no matter how terrible it was, it came from an inspiration, and that inspirational Chanel that this artist owns has been nurtured, and depending on the result of his art you can tell the amount of nurturing and growth he has achieved, when I see a fellow artist (artist) I give you the least I can, that little top off to your inspiration, give you a little reason to go on, I mean I'm not God but I make it obvious that your mind is being appreciated, cos that's all an artist is(a product of your imagination) and trust it helps, now imagine that kind of inspiration coming from people you look up to, now that's priceless and you have no idea the joy that comes from a mentors thumbs up, or good job bro, it's more than money, felling appreciated by someone you look up to, it's like a pat on the back from your dad after a good result, you want to do more, all of a sudden making more good results is all you're gonna be thinking about, I know what it means not to have a parents approval and it hurts same way it hurts to snobed by a role model.

I have been to the homes of Nigerians with loads of artwork everywhere that some of them can't tell the numbers of their large collections. Amazingly they'll tell you, I still want to buy more; 'I can't see a great piece of art and take my eyes off it or desiring to acquire it' an art collector once said to me. The thing is, we make room for the things we love and understand. If I most advice you. Have you ever thought of owning the largest portrait collections by a Nigerian producer/musician with a purpose built facility that will entertain you and your guest globally. You'll probably spend some huge money to acquire, catalogue, build a facilities or convert one of your properties to a private gallery/ museum, and maintain this facility but I bet you you would have made for yourself a legacy that will transcend your generation and as the best investment plan. Think about it, knowledge is power and the application of it is wisdom. I can make a few recommendation of people that can help you achieve this dream if only you can picture what I just explain. Well done.

I've done a couple of celebrity drawings during the earlier years of my journey in the art world and trust me I didn't do any of them for money from the celebrities rather I did it out of love and to also get their attention which could probably lead to a link up with someone I admire and get to take pictures. That "picture " actually do go a long way...in a way clients could confide in my skill..it did help a lot... I'm sure this could be one of the reasons why most artists still do celebrity drawings. However as I grew older I discovered that as an artist there's more to art than making celebrity drawings... art is supposed to be a way to reflect or communicate an idea that words would barely do justice to and not necessarily making replica of pictures. Being a celebrity artist isn't bad after all but there's more to art than that. So yeah @donjazzy you are very influential your acknowledgement would go a long way...it doesn't necessarily have to be money and it's not a must you collect it but every artwork of yours that you find should be acknowledged by you.

I'm really trying to see this from @donjazzy side here.. It's not easy.. One can't reach out to everyone.... And it's just a slippery slope, when these artist have seen that this celeb appreciates art, everyone now wants to do a piece for that celeb forgetting he can't receive all and reach out to all. I personally don't do celebrity arts often, but I was lucky to be able to get @common to repost my portrait of him which was my very first .. That was enough. But Artist we gas level up... Plus there are so many other celebrities, some never gotten a painting of themselves even.. Let's use our talents and reach out to others as well.. And not chocking one person only.. Even cake as sweet as it is.. One can get tired of eating it.

@donjazzy As an artist,i understand you. I've actually been thinking of these things. The reason why we draw celebrities is because we love them,it's not actually because of the money,it's just for recognition and appreciation. So far you've seen the artwork and appreciate it,it's okay by us. We artists drawing you is just like a gift to you, what is now left for you is to appreciate the work. You truly need to appreciate the work, because the time the artist spent on the work, his sweats, its not actually easy. Just appreciate the work and by appreciating doesn't mean you must pay,by saying thank you, keep up the good work,i can see the talent in you, keep doing what you love and never give up. That alone is okay. ✌❤
