Repost from @karmagawa ⚠WARNING GRAPHIC IMAGES⚠ Detroit police officers shot and killed a poor dog while arresting his owner on two felony warrants for aggravated assault and domestic violence. The cops tasered the dog’s owner twice, but the tasers do not seem to affect him until he lets go of the leash at which point the dog barks at the police officers and they shot him 7 times with a taser. The police claim the dog was “coming towards the officer aggressively”, but to us it looks like the dog was just barking, protecting its owner and then trying to run away while he got shot. What do you think? We hate posting videos like this, but we MUST each do our part to share them to help prevent situations like from happening again and make police officers think twice before hurting innocent animals like this. That dog was minding his own business and did nothing wrong, and was in his right to turn around and bark when they fired shots. I hope someone shoots those cops for walking down the street. I am not anti-cop, but I am SO SO SO sick of police violence against pit bulls!! I hope they are reprimanded severely for what they did in this video. They are a disgrace to police and humankind and should not be allowed to wear badges.

This is sad but the owner is to blame for this. What else did he think was going to happen when he refused to stop thn let go of his pitbull. Pitbulls are known to be widely aggressive n dangerous. If he had cooperated none of this wouldv happened but thn again he has 2 felonies for aggravated assault & domestic violence 🤷🏻♀️. Criminals dont deserves pets.

That dog was ready to defend its owner with the lurching it did towards the owners. Let’s see you go handcuff the felon with a pit bull that’s ready to fight! You might be rich but it doesn’t make you a professional. If you wouldn’t do it don’t put your unprofessional opinion on it. Sad the dog suffered but the ignorance of the guy cost his dogs life.

I stand with the blue, but we gave them too much power. Now that people are standing for their rights it seems bad. In this video they are trying to arrest a guy and he has a dog which they need protection. A dog will do anything to protect his owner one shot wont do anything. They had to do it , or just start carrying rubber bullets instead.

I am a HUGE animal lover but I don't think these officers were wrong here. I love dogs and have lived with them my whole life however this guy let go of his dog leash intentionally for this dog to try and attack/scare the officers away. As sad as it is, the owner is to blame and he should be the one people are upset with.

The amount of people defending the cops who were never even close to being bitten is what's wrong with the world. Complete disregard for any life, whether animal or human. People's response in America now is just "meh, oh well. Shoulda just listened to the cops or they can do they want". Population has been trained well.
